When it comes to body washes, my priorities tend to be towards how well it moisturizes and how good it smells and the Hempz Coconut and Watermelon Nourishing Herbal Body Wash
did not disappoint. It is enriched with pure hemp seed oil as well as other natural ingredients such as aloe, Vitamin E, coconut oil and watermelon extracts to leave your skin feeling clean, moisturized and smelling wonderful.
This body wash is enriched with 100% pure hemp seed oil and is also Paraben-free, sulfate-free, gluten-free and 100% vegan.
What I Love About Hempz Body Wash
I can’t say enough about how this body wash smells. I’ve probably tried hundreds of different smelling body washes over the years of my adult life and smells can vary from entirely way to strong to non-existent. The Hempz coconut and watermelon body wash has the perfect blend of smells and it’s not overpowering, but it does stay with you throughout the day. The added watermelon scent to the coconut gives it a unique twist and something different than just standard coconut, plus it gives it a sort of sweet kick to it. Since using this body wash along with the matching body lotion, I have gotten many comments from complete strangers telling me how good I smell and asking me where I got it.
The other thing I really liked about this body wash is that unlike other body washes that sometimes have me stepping out of the shower with tight, red and splotchy skin from it drying it out, the Hempz body wash left me feeling moisturized, even before I applied my body lotion. Since this body wash contains real hemp seed oil, you won’t deal with skin dryness like you might with other body washes. Instead, the hemp seed oil will heal and moisturize your skin.
Price
I purchased two bottles of the Hempz body wash at my local Ulta beauty store and paid almost $20 each which seemed a bit high to me but I was already out and about and really wanted to try it out, so I broke down and spent the money without researching other places to buy. However, since then, I’ve done a bit of price shopping to find the best place to get it and I was able to find it on Amazon for $11 plus free shipping (Check that out here)! I just started my second bottle of it so I haven’t ordered it from Amazon as of yet so I can’t give any feedback yet on the shipping but it is Amazon and typically shipping is pretty standard with them. I only wish it was available for Amazon prime shipping, since I tend to get excited when I order something and I want it quickly.
The other aspect of price with this product is that you have to use a fairly healthy amount to get a good lather going, so you will end up using it fairly quick. These aren’t big bottles to begin with, so the extra price will add up fairly quickly. Still…the quality is excellent, the smell is lovely and the price is almost worth it.
Overall, I would definitely consider trying out the Hempz Coconut and Watermelon Nourishing Herbal Body Wash. It’s a fantastic body wash and has the added benefit of containing pure hemp seed oil.
I have to be careful using body wash because I break out from most of the ingredients. The partner started making homemade soap because my skin cannot handle Dial or Dove anymore.
Heck, at that price, I would have returned them to the store and ordered the cheaper price from Amazon. 🙂
Bonnie, I’m actually trying out a hemp soap right now, that’s just a simple bar, no fragrance really just a nice clean all natural soap. So far it’s been really nice, Ill be doing a review of it here in a few days but so far I really like it, might be good for sensitive skin.
I love that we are starting to use hemp more. However, I’ve found that most hemp products like these are still filled with crazy chemicals, which makes no sense to me. So the search continues for a all natural (no weird chemicals I can’t pronounce) product. What are your thoughts?
Some are filled with chemicals for usre, especially if you like the pretty smelling stuff. But yup, there are a few actual organic hemp washes that contain all natural ingredients…lotions and other stuff too. I’m in the process of trying them out…I’m trying to give all my “demo’s” a full week before I review them so it’s a slow going progress but I will have some to share with you guys soon.
However, I’ll still use some non-organic beauty products as long as the big 3 aren’t in them…Ill be writing about those soon but but they are Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Petroleum Oil and Propylene Glycol. Ill go into more why I stay away from those but when I look for lotions and body washes or really anything with hemp in it, I like to steer clear of those if possible.
Lately I’ve been looking at and for products that don’t have a lot of chemicals in them. Thanks for the suggestion.
Sure thing Salma…and we’ve got plenty more in the woks so stay tuned. 🙂
